Updates and thoughts

So I'll start off with a dream I had last night.  If any of you have been reading my blog for awhile now, you'll know there was a big blow up in my family right before Delilah was born about the name we chose.  I won't go into the details, but if you want the whole sordid story about my crazy family, you can go back and find the particular blog post.
Well, they are still making vague posts about either my mom or myself (once, my aunt made a very rude post I know she was directing at me right after I was baptized.  Very mature.).  Anyway, I dreamt last night that I was able to talk to both of my estranged aunts.  One, I haven't been close with for a long time.  I don't have a desire to have a relationship with her because of the way she treated my grandma when my grandma was dying of cancer.  She also stole antique china and lied to my granddad about it. The night my grandma died, she was making out when her boyfriend (now husband) when everyone else was trying to cope and get the proper people to the house to do what was necessary.  She has given me broken old items for birthdays (back when she would actually show up).  Basically, not the greatest person, and not a person I would choose to associate myself with.  The other aunt and my mom used to be very close.  Not anymore (see the baby name drama post and the way my lying cousin weaseled her way inbetween family members).
ANYWAY.
I dreamt that I was able to tell them that I still pray for them.  That I never said anything that wasn't just the cold hard facts.  That I never made anything up regarding them or their families.  That I was also praying for the children.  They didn't choose the life that they are living, and hopefully will be able to rise above and be successful in life and not choose to be victims.  I will always pray for them.  I think that if they had a relationship with God, then they might change the way they see the world.  I think if my youngest cousin knew about Jesus (she doesn't...she asked my dad who he was around Christmas one year, and I believe she was 9), she might be a happier person.
I'll keep praying for them, because I know that they can't be happy how they are living right now.  Not truly happy.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have tons of exciting stuff coming up in the next couple months!  This month has been relatively calm, but lots of fun.
Delilah and I got to start our fall/winter shopping yesterday.  She got a bunch of cute pants, sweaters, shirts, a dress, and the CUTEST boots ever.  I'm glad it's been cool lately, because I'm going to have her wear one of her new outfits tonight for Grandpa Ward's 91st birthday.  She'll be meeting some of her aunt's on David's side of the family for the first time, and I just know they'll love her.  Who couldn't?  She's just a fantastic, smart, sweet, wonderful little joy.  We're going shopping Monday too and I'll get some stuff as well.
In September, I'm planning on going to a Royals game with my friend and his son.  I've been having a blast with him.  Unlike most of my friends, he has a kid, and understands that I can't always go out and do things.  Sure, my mom watches Delilah, but I can't just leave her all the time.  I've only been to a Royals game once before and it was in the middle of the day and super hot.  I think we're going to go to an evening game which will be super nice.
In October, I'm going to go see the musical Wicked.  It's finally in town when I'm in Kansas City, and I couldn't be more excited.  I've been waiting YEARS to see this.  Luckily, I've got a friend who also loves musicals.  He also went to see The Little Mermaid at Starlight with me.  I can't wait for Delilah to be old enough to enjoy stuff like this.
Well, that's about it for now.  Just enjoying the life I'm living!
Picture updates!
Just walking Rilo
I found a play kitchen for her, and mom immediately got her pots/pans/dishes/silverware and food.
She said this was her hat.
My happy puppy.
Ever since Delilah has been walking Rilo, this has been happening.
My tough chick.
Perfectly timed picture where she farted on me and thought it was hilarious.
Just made this for a friend.
Peek-a-boo!
Helping Grandpa put her new tricycle together!
Showing her how to use the pedals.
