Good day to you all!

Had a pretty fun weekend.  Spent Friday night just hanging out at my house with Delilah.  Typical, but relaxing.
Saturday, I got to go to Zona Rosa and have some delicious BoLings (why is there not sushi at that location?!?) with Jonny, and then we went and saw a movie.  You're Next is pretty good...very gory, but I enjoyed it overall.  The story took an unexpected twist, and I like that a lot.  No spoilers here though, just go see it.  There are so many movies out that I want to see, and I'm glad I have a friend I can drag along with me. After the movie, we played Super Mario World with his son.  I actually got to play on the Wii U.  It was different, but really cool.

This week, I've just been catching up on household stuff I was lax on last week.  Sometimes, I just need to veg out...which is not easy when Ben is across the world and I'm here taking care of an almost 2 year old pretty much 24/7.  She's so awesome and wonderful though, it really is great seeing her do new stuff every single day.  This weekend, I'll probably just watch a movie  here with a friend, swim, make some delicious food, and just enjoy my life.

I'm ready for fall.
I've done our winter/fall clothing shopping.
I'm ready to start baking and putting pumpkin in EVERYTHING.

Oh! I ordered my bridesmaids dress for Vanessa's wedding (along with a few other things) from forever21!
I also ordered my Halloween costume for this year.  I haven't gotten to dress up the last couple years.  Last year, I really wasn't into the people that were having parties in Clovis...I mean, they were pretty low on my list of people I want myself associated with, and the year before, I was mega pregnant.  This year is going to be awesome though!
No, I'm not saying what it is yet.  You'll just have to wait.

Yay, new tunnels!

Cupcakes for Dayly.

Surprise party!

FaceTime with Ben-Landon, Chip, and Delilah

Happy birthday, Dayly!

Friennnnnds

Delilah had to wear the big hat.

Yep, I'm wearing this shirt.

Hi!

Updates and thoughts

So I'll start off with a dream I had last night.  If any of you have been reading my blog for awhile now, you'll know there was a big blow up in my family right before Delilah was born about the name we chose.  I won't go into the details, but if you want the whole sordid story about my crazy family, you can go back and find the particular blog post.
Well, they are still making vague posts about either my mom or myself (once, my aunt made a very rude post I know she was directing at me right after I was baptized.  Very mature.).  Anyway, I dreamt last night that I was able to talk to both of my estranged aunts.  One, I haven't been close with for a long time.  I don't have a desire to have a relationship with her because of the way she treated my grandma when my grandma was dying of cancer.  She also stole antique china and lied to my granddad about it. The night my grandma died, she was making out when her boyfriend (now husband) when everyone else was trying to cope and get the proper people to the house to do what was necessary.  She has given me broken old items for birthdays (back when she would actually show up).  Basically, not the greatest person, and not a person I would choose to associate myself with.  The other aunt and my mom used to be very close.  Not anymore (see the baby name drama post and the way my lying cousin weaseled her way inbetween family members).
ANYWAY.
I dreamt that I was able to tell them that I still pray for them.  That I never said anything that wasn't just the cold hard facts.  That I never made anything up regarding them or their families.  That I was also praying for the children.  They didn't choose the life that they are living, and hopefully will be able to rise above and be successful in life and not choose to be victims.  I will always pray for them.  I think that if they had a relationship with God, then they might change the way they see the world.  I think if my youngest cousin knew about Jesus (she doesn't...she asked my dad who he was around Christmas one year, and I believe she was 9), she might be a happier person.
I'll keep praying for them, because I know that they can't be happy how they are living right now.  Not truly happy.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have tons of exciting stuff coming up in the next couple months!  This month has been relatively calm, but lots of fun.
Delilah and I got to start our fall/winter shopping yesterday.  She got a bunch of cute pants, sweaters, shirts, a dress, and the CUTEST boots ever.  I'm glad it's been cool lately, because I'm going to have her wear one of her new outfits tonight for Grandpa Ward's 91st birthday.  She'll be meeting some of her aunt's on David's side of the family for the first time, and I just know they'll love her.  Who couldn't?  She's just a fantastic, smart, sweet, wonderful little joy.  We're going shopping Monday too and I'll get some stuff as well.
In September, I'm planning on going to a Royals game with my friend and his son.  I've been having a blast with him.  Unlike most of my friends, he has a kid, and understands that I can't always go out and do things.  Sure, my mom watches Delilah, but I can't just leave her all the time.  I've only been to a Royals game once before and it was in the middle of the day and super hot.  I think we're going to go to an evening game which will be super nice.
In October, I'm going to go see the musical Wicked.  It's finally in town when I'm in Kansas City, and I couldn't be more excited.  I've been waiting YEARS to see this.  Luckily, I've got a friend who also loves musicals.  He also went to see The Little Mermaid at Starlight with me.  I can't wait for Delilah to be old enough to enjoy stuff like this.
Well, that's about it for now.  Just enjoying the life I'm living!
Picture updates!
Just walking Rilo
I found a play kitchen for her, and mom immediately got her pots/pans/dishes/silverware and food.
She said this was her hat.
My happy puppy.
Ever since Delilah has been walking Rilo, this has been happening.
My tough chick.
Perfectly timed picture where she farted on me and thought it was hilarious.
Just made this for a friend.
Peek-a-boo!
Helping Grandpa put her new tricycle together!
Showing her how to use the pedals.
Weeeee!
Such a big girl!
Yee haw
Spent 2 hours at the park yesterday with friends.  It was great!
Big girl sliding by herself!
Been making more bows.
I thought maybe I'd post some pics of what I've been up to...
Right before Nessers and I rode the Rip Cord at Worlds of Fun!
Happy dog!
My cool kid at the pool.
Some of my very favorite girls.
Pool day with the girls
My beautiful girl
Delilah and Grandma modeling the new Country Club hats.
She made a new friend at the park.
Getting ready to slide at the park
Swinging!
When did she get big enough to slide down by herself?
Love.
Painting her cardboard play house.
Obviously her leg needed to be painted too.
She knows if she's a good girl at the store, she can ride the horse.  As soon as we pull up to Walmart or Price Chopper, she makes a horse noise.  50 cents is a small price to pay for her happiness.
Meeting a neighborhood cat.
Just another morning walk.
This girl knows how to relax.
Mom got her a little monster toy from Old Navy and she's pretty obsessed with it.
This is my most favorite painting I've done recently.
I've been pretty happy lately.
Delilah got herself a new kitchen set.
I guess that's about it.  Nothing too crazy/exciting happening, but just lots of good.  I'm thankful for the people making this separation easier for both of us.  Moving back here has opened my eyes to who is a good friend, and who isn't really.  Those that make the time to see me, knowing that I can't do as much as I used to are so appreciated.  You know who you are.  Thank you.  I appreciate you more than you know.
I'm going to take more pictures when I'm out and about.
Hope this week has been a good one for everyone.  Mine sure has been.
xoxo
