Sitting here in a warming house

My heat keeps going out!  It's so frustrating...being so cold last night.  It started working, but then was freezing again this morning.

BORRRRRRED.
George is here fixing it though.  Hopefully it all works out.

Only 19 more days until I go back to Missouri.  I'm definitely looking forward to the trip, and I hope that nothing stupidly dramatic happens.  I could do without seeing certain members of my family, thankfully, they're never around much anyway!

I found an awesome bedroom set I REALLY want. It's dark wood, nice headboard, pretty dresser/mirror combo...all I need to do is sell the dresser and amour we have now so it'll pay for itself.  There's a living room set I really like too, but I'm not going to get ahead of myself.  I have a perfectly nice living room set right now.

Ben will be home soon and I've had chili simmering on the stove for about an hour.  Heck yeah.

My tukey is cookin'

Turkey is in the oven, seasoned deliciously to perfection.  I can't wait to dig in today!
Here's our Thanksgiving lineup of guests:
Ben/Danielle
JT/Lynell/Nick/Andrew/Lexy
Heather
Tom/Jamie/+2 kids
Ali/RT
VB/Amber
Barnes
Reeve
Powell
Stocks+2 kids
DC
And I don't remember who else.

Basically, it's going to be a freaking feast.  I'm in charge of the turkey and green fluff.  Ben's gonna make the gravy, because it's AMAZING.  I can say that honestly because I don't even like gravy but I love his!

One more day!!!!

I have worked this week with this thought in my mind:
Just three more days
Just two more days

Now I get to say, "Just one more day..."

Ahhh.

Some of the Westboro bigots decided to descend upon the town where my family lives today to protest a soldier's funeral.  This man was 20 years old and died as a result of an extremist strapped to a bomb.  If you are not familiar with WBC, here is their website.  http://www.godhatesfags.com
Let me inform you that the website is disgusting in that it uses God's word for something evil.
Here's a video of the town reacting to the protesters:
http://www.fox4kc.com/news/wdaf-jacob-carver-funeral-tuesday-harrisonville-112310,0,6090434.story

Thousands of people came to block those horrible people from even coming close to the grieving family, and the Patriot Guard Riders (http://www.patriotguard.org/) showed up in full force to protect the family.
It makes me proud that the people of my town showed up and showed their support of the brave man who gave his life so that the people of Westboro have the right to act like pieces of filth.

I now have these people finished:
Jack
Rylee
Laura
Bekah
Bethany
Mary Grace
part of Ben's
Stacey
Morgan
Jacob

Working on Rachel's tomorrow hopefully!

Phew boy

Rough night last night.  Won't go into details, but I'm just worried about some stuff.  Couldn't sleep well, bad dreams, and just tossed and turned.

Woke up this morning and my wonderful husband had gotten the coffee pot ready for me AND bought me a SOBE drink for work today.  *sigh* He's so great!

Went shopping yesterday!!!  Not Christmas shopping (although I did buy Ben a present), but shopping for me.   I got:
*Gray sweater-Old Navy
*Brown shirt-Old Navy
*Brown mocassians-Payless
*Black heels-Payless
*Black opaque tights-Target
*Zombie calendar-Mall kiosk.

I have most of my Christmas shopping done, so I decided to get myself some things.  I deserve it sometimes.

I'm working on a painting tonight as part of a Christmas present...people have been requesting them as gifts!  I'm more than happy to oblige because it makes it fun and easy on me!

Tomorrow is Friday!!!

This has been a SUPER long week.  It feels as if my days have dragged on and on and on.  The daycare is sucking the life out of me, I'm convinced.  I twitch when I hear a baby cry, even when I'm not at work.
Also, what's the deal with bringing your kid in with a disgusting diaper?  Did you even change him/her when he/she woke up?  Ewwwww.  Would you want to sit in a diaper full of poop and pee for even a minute?  I don't think so.  Well, neither does your child.  I can tell it's been there awhile.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 tomorrow.  I can't explain how excited I am about this.  It's the beginning of the end, which actually makes me really sad, but I can say that I'll be with Harry in the end.

I've got SEVEN people done for Christmas.  I'm doing a happy dance (I'm obviously awesome because I can do that and type at the same time!).
Jack
Laura
Mary Grace
Bekah
Morgan
Stacey
Rylee
Heck yeah.

6 more days

6 more days of work, and I have a 4 day weekend!
Makes things slightly easier to get through.

Only 31 days until I'm back in Missouri (counting today).
I need to be there right now.

I had a doctor's appt today...and saw the same doctor that signed my medical stuff for Japan.  I didn't like him then, and I didn't like him today.  Basically, it was a stress filled appt when it didn't need to be.  Oh well.

My friend deploys next weekend.  I'm going to try and keep his wife busy so she won't be too sad.
Old fashioned slumber party, anyone?

Another day in my life.

Today was actually a really nice day. Lynell and I only had 3 kids most of the day at the daycare, so we got our Christmas decorations made and ready.  After yesterday, a day of mostly silence was completely welcomed.

Had to go to Wal-mart and get some more Christmas cards.  Yes, I've already used 36, and I haven't even started on my East Coast family or the people in Cannon. UGH.

Just got back from a walk with the dogs and heard some really weird noise coming from outside the fence behind base housing.  It sounded like someone was being hurt.  Looked like there was a house nearby, so I had Ben look up the sheriff's dept number and called them to check it out.  It may sound silly and it may be nothing, but I would hate to find out that something was going on and I just brushed it off.  I'd much rather be safe than sorry.  An officer just came by my house and I described where I heard and he went off to investigate it.  He was really nice too, I'm sure it was nothing, but it's really good that he wasn't all grumpy with me.  Very different from the other Clovis police officers I've encountered!

Tonight: it's time to address Christmas cards and make myself some chicken Pad Thai.  YUM!

I'm entitled to a whiney post.

I'm tired.
I'm tired of working at the daycare.
I'm tired of coming home and having stuff to do.
I'm tired tired tired tired tired.

I want ANYONE to live a working day in my shoes.
I work 8.5 hours and then come home to housework.  Dinner, laundry, vacuuming, dogs, kitchen, bathroom.
WHY?
Can't I just get one week where all I have to do is just go to work?  I want to be able to sit at home and relax when I get off of work or before I go in...but there's just too much to do and I'm the one doing it.

I'm TIRED.

ANOTHER INTERVIEW

This one went much better than the last one.  I felt completely defeated after the last interview.  The lady was being such a stink face during the whole thing and it made me feel like I was off my game.

Today I:
*Worked for 8.5 hours (and if I had to listen to this one baby cry any longer, I would have lost my mind)
*Went to my interview
*Went to Wal-mart (where I found my holiday creamers and Christmas cards!)
*Picked up Ben's Black Ops game from Game Stop
*Emailed principal 150 words on why she should hire me
*Ate a sandwich and chips
*Drank a beer

Now, I'm going to watch a move while I address Christmas cards.  It's time to relax.

Some things popping into my head

*Are people actually aware when they are disliked by pretty much everyone?  Is it that they don't know or that they're too self-involved to care?

*People who constantly make the stink face during conversations need to have it slapped off their faces.

*Everyone who goes to Wal-Mart: smelling diseased/in ratty pjs/or with their entire families should be banned from the store.  Ick.

*Fable III is awesome.

That's all!

I've been tired/busy

1. Colorado was a blast!  Did a lot of shopping (got 4 people done for Christmas, and 2 started!)

2. Been listening to Mumford and Sons (they're fantastic)
3. Did 2 more nursery letters.

4. Still working at the daycare.  I'm pretty tired most of the time, but my friend started working there, so it has gotten easier.
5. Laura, Rachel, and Bethany want paintings for Christmas.  That makes things a LOT easier!
6. I keep having people think I'm a lot younger than I am.  I'm 25, but in the past month, I've been a 19, 20, and even 17.  One person thought my military id wasn't mine!  They always apologize, but I'm not worried!  The younger I look, the better it'll be when I'm old!
7. I really should be cleaning my house so that I can play some Fable 3 today.  I'm gonna bust my butt to get the housework done quickly!
8.  I'm making Ben fish for dinner tonight.  YUM!
9. Planning our holiday dinner with friends-I love this time of year!
10. WICKED is coming to Albuquerque. I can't wait!
